Business Development and Project Manager
Location: Based in Headquarters-Naperville, IL (Hybrid)

We partner with organizations, government agencies, and communities to facilitate transparent and impactful conversations. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development and Project Manager to lead project initiatives, public outreach, and drive business growth in various locations.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development

Develop and implement business development strategies.

Assist in the development and execute business development strategies to expand the client base and increase revenue.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including responding to RFQs and preparing competitive proposals.

Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions that align with client needs and company capabilities.

Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build brand awareness and establish partnerships.

Manage the sales pipeline, track progress, and provide regular reports on business development activities.

Support organizational growth by identifying innovative approaches to strategic communication and public involvement.

Lead project management efforts, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including responding to RFPs and preparing proposals.

Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and private sector clients.

Oversee the execution of strategic communication and public involvement projects.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.

Project Management

Develop and implement public involvement plans tailored to specific projects.

Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and risk assessments.

Ensure clear communication between project stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, and external partners.

Track project performance, analyzing data to drive improvements and efficiencies.

Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with company standards.

Coordinate with project teams to integrate public feedback into decision-making processes.

Organize and facilitate public meetings, open houses, and community outreach events.

Create and manage public communication materials, including presentations, fact sheets, and digital content.

Engage with diverse community groups to ensure inclusive participation and feedback.

Track and analyze public input, preparing reports to inform project development.

Qualifications & Skills:
-
Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, business or a related field.

Minimum of 8 years of proven experience in project management and business development, preferably in strategic communications or public involvement.

Experience in infrastructure-related projects is a plus.

Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills.
-
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Experience developing proposals and responding to RFQ/RFPs.

Strong relationship-building and networking skills.
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.

Knowledge of stakeholder engagement best practices and community outreach methodologies.

Proactive and forward-thinking

A self-starter; confidence to act with little direction

Travel will be required.
